For my Urban Exploration project, I chose to seek out and map locations in the city I deemed "quiet places." Each of these places is public. Some of them are large, open parks while others are small areas tucked away between buildings. As of now, the quiet places are located to the east of South Broad Street.
At each of these places, as well as occasionally during the transtition from one to another, I took photos and sound recordings. When I returned from my exploration, I created an interactive map from memory. The photos I took helped me to retrace my steps, but information was still lost, resulting in inaccuracies; the relative sizes of the places and the distances between them are not consistent with real life. The map is meant to be a recording of my adventures rather than a realistic portrayal of the city, so these "mistakes" have been left there intentionally.
